Temps Voleur back in winners stall

Jun 16, 2016

Temps Voleur found himself back in the winners at Sandown this afternoon with a gutsy win in the Schweppes Handicap over 1600m.

Taken straight to the front by jockey Jake Bayliss, Temps Voleur with blinkers back on really found his form once again and under hard riding fought off all challengers in the straight.

There were punters that thought Temp Voleur would improve sharply from his disappointing run at Flemington last Saturday as the horse was back from $20 into $7.

Trainer Robbie Laing explained that the reason he back up the son of Time Thief from Saturday was that he felt when the horse gets back in the field and amongst them he can become quite lazy so he took no harm from the run, loves Sandown so there were quite a few positives heading into the race.

At this stage Temps Voleur will now head to Flemington on Saturday week for the $100,000 Provincial Plate over 1600m.

Congratulations to all of the connections of Temps Voleur and he has certainly been a great money spinner for his owners with now winning 6 races and just shy of $200,000 in prizemoney.
